Child Benefit Fund, Inc. was founded in 1981 when Ingham County Family Court employees recognized a need for additional support for families in the community. Over 40 years later, our mission remains the same, to provide essential support, resources, and advocacy to help children reach their full potential—regardless of their background or financial situation. We believe that every child deserves access to basic necessities, resources, and a safe, nurturing environment to grow and thrive.

Since our founding, we have worked to bridge the gap for underserved communities by offering financial assistance, school supplies, clothing, and other critical aid. Through our fundraising efforts, we aim to create opportunities that empower children and uplift families. At the heart of our work is a commitment to compassion, equity, and the belief that investing in children is investing in a better future for all.

Child Benefit Fund puts on numerous events throughout the year, including a Soup Sale, 5K, and Golf Outing. Be sure to check out the Events tab for more information.
